Unpacking the fine print of Biden's declaration about the war in Yemen
If you glanced at the recent headlines, you probably saw what appeared to be good news: The United States would finally stop selling arms to Saudi Arabia and end our involvement in the conflict in Yemen.
Glimpse of the divine - or wishful thinking? Novel takes us on aging priest's road trip
I've occasionally been grateful not to have been a fisherman in Galilee 2,000-plus years ago. I worry I would have been asked to follow and wouldn't have been able to. I'm afraid I would've just kept on fishing. In Via Negativa, Daniel Hornsby's funny debut novel about guilt, we meet our protagonist, Father Dan, as he's driving west through Kansas. He finds an injured coyote, who we come to know as Bede, on the side of the road.
Coronavirus gives Sanders a chance and an obligation to push Biden left on health care
There’s no way around it, Bernie Sanders is losing. A path to the Democratic presidential nomination still exists, but it's a Hail Mary. He lost in 2016, too, but it was one of the most successful losses in electoral history. Warren has the chance to unite the left by endorsing Sanders. She should take it.
I’m a Bernie Sanders supporter and volunteer. In all the doors I’ve knocked on, which is quite a few, the one constant I’ve heard from Elizabeth Warren's supporters is that the Warren and Sanders agendas are virtually identical, but that she’s the stronger candidate who can “actually get it done.” Only she’s not getting it done, and isn’t going to. I know that Warren supporters don’t want to hear this, and in their place I wouldn’t, either.

Bust the 'Bernie bros' myth: Sanders supporters like me aren't the stereotype you expect
If you were dropped into the middle of a campaign event for Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont without any context, it wouldn’t be far off to think you were looking at a group of people who had just been in a plane crash and ended up in a field together. A fervent congregation that would otherwise seldom cross paths, there’s nothing coherent about our ages, races or economic backgrounds. In the week leading up to the Feb.
