Sennecke has done it again as he scored the season opening goal for the Ducks Original
The Ducks came away with a win in their season-opening game. They beat the Vegas Golden Knights on the road. Beckett Sennecke got the Ducks on the board off a beautiful feed from Leo Carlsson. This is two years in a row now that the Toronto, Ontario native has scored the first Ducks goal in a regular season campaign. Last season it was in Seattle as the boys in orange and gold fell to the Kraken 3-1. Sennecke joins three other Ducks to score season-opening goals for two straight years.
Klepov is poised to be another young star for Ducks Original
Going into September, less than a month away from the return of Ducks hockey, it’s time to review some of the more high profile prospects in the system. This one is a Russian-American, point producing phenom out of Florida. Two seasons ago, Klepov had a respectable 31 points in 59 United States Hockey League games for the Sioux City Musketeers. Good production for a 17-year-old in the highest level of junior hockey in the States.

The SoCal-NorCal rivalry between Anaheim and San Jose has a rich history and will get better in the coming years
While the Ducks and Kings rivalry is the first that comes to mind when asked about Ducks rivals, I myself have found the rivalry between the Ducks and the boys in teal to be very intense and must-watch action. Every time they play each other, it seems like it's just such a gladiatorial battle—big hits, big goals, and bragging rights on the line for each team and fanbase. The all-time regular season series between the two clubs has given us 170 games. The Sharks lead with a record of 83-64-23.
Ducks have a major decision to make in the next few weeks as Gauthier's future with Anaheim hangs in the balance
Cooper Schroeder While the Leo Carlsson offer sheet was a major blow to Anaheim's salary cap and to fans of the team, it has been resolved. At the end of the day, although the price tag is high, having a player like Leo for at least another half decade is huge. However, with the relief of Leo's contract being resolved, Ducks fans alike go from one stress to another.
McQueen has made a "Lightning" quick transition to the pro game following a successful college season
It’s been less than a year since Roger McQueen was drafted 10th overall by the Ducks, being their first pick of the 2025 draft. The pick was quickly followed by the team flying him to Anaheim to make a Disneyland detour. The team had fully leaned into referencing the Disney-Pixar film, Cars. McQueen also bought in, committing to wearing the number 95, an homage to Lightning McQueen from the aforementioned film, when he plays his NHL rookie season at a future time.
Gauthier is closing in on a 40-goal season, the first time for a Ducks player in more than a decade
Let’s take a look at Montreal for a moment. On Tuesday, March 17, Cole Caufield scored his 40th goal of the season. He became the first Canadiens player to record a 40-plus goal campaign since Vincent Damphousse in 1993-94. That was over 32 years ago, and it got me thinking, “Cutter must be getting close to 40 now…” Now, back to the boys in orange. Gauthier has 35 goals thus far in 67 games. Clicking at just over half a goal per game and well on pace to break 40.
Cup wins and playoff experience will have to be key factors for the Ducks to see playoff success this season
As the Ducks are entering their first playoff series in 8 years, they surely will be looking to make a splash. Most of these players, part of a very young core group, have not had the opportunity to play in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. It will be very important for those on the team who have to help the new generation along. There are six players on this team with a lot of playoff games under their belts, and a few who have been fortunate enough to hoist Lord Stanley’s cup.
The job isn't done, but the Ducks have already given Orange Country plenty to be excited about in these playoffs
After their first series win in nearly a decade, the vibes are high in So Cal. While there were definitely standout performances by players like Troy Terry, Leo Carlson and Jackson LaCombe, there was a slew of unsung heroes as well. Not only the players, but the coaching staff and even the fans at Honda Center.
Gaucher and Hinds each given opportunities to show Coach Q what they can do
Big center makes debut four years after being drafted Nathan Gaucher made his long-awaited debut on April 1st. The 2022 first-round draft pick has been in the Ducks' pro system for three years now and has earned himself 32 goals and 72 points in 187 AHL games. This season with San Diego has been his best to this point, as he is nearly half a point per game.
Wild Wing Rewind is a look back at Ducks history and this one reflects on the notable goaltenders of years past
The Anaheim Ducks franchise has had a rich history of goaltenders over its existence. From draft picks to signings, the organization has consistently demonstrated a knack for finding effective backstops. This list is one that I have compiled based on those goalies that I personally found to be entertaining and good at what they do. I have nothing but respect for any goaltender who has reached the highest level, as being a goaltender is about athleticism, reaction, positioning, and mental strength.
High-flying Ducks could add some great talent from the pool of free agents this offseason, and here are my picks
With the season over for Anaheim, the focus shifts toward the offseason, and GM Pat Verbeek will have his hands full. There are a few players heading out the door in free agency, such as Radko Gudas, John Carlson, and Jansen Harkins, to name a few. Not only will Verbeek be looking to add through trades, but he could also sign a veteran or two with more offensive upside and valuable playoff experience.

Wild Wing Rewind is a look back at all things Ducks, this one on Ryan Getzlaf’s unparalleled impact in Anaheim
It’s hard to believe that Getzy will be entering his fifth season of retirement after so many amazing years in Orange County. The former Ducks captain, an honor he held for 12 of his 17 seasons, is the franchise leader in games played, assists, and points, also ranking 4th all-time in Ducks goal scoring. Drafted at 19th overall in the 2003 NHL entry draft, this pick for the franchise would be the first piece in a new era for the team.
Men’s World Championship saw three Ducks players having success, two of them earning medals
The 2026 IIHF World Championship, hosted in Zurich and Freibourg, Switzerland, saw great underdog moments and stalwart performances. The United States brought a lackluster team to the tournament, with only Matthew Tkachuk returning from the 2026 Olympic team that captured gold in Milan. Teams like Czechia, Sweden, and USA were bumped out in the first knockout stage. The hosting Swiss team had a dominant 9-1 run, losing only in the Gold Medal Game to an equally formidable Finnish squad.
Men’s World Championship saw three Ducks players having success, two of them earning medals
15 hours ago RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The Vegas Golden Knights and Carolina Hurricanes combined for five goals in the frantic final 15 minutes of Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final on Thursday night, and another one got waved off. It was somehow an even crazier finish than the series opener 48 hours earlier, when …
