What was your first job as a journalist?
My first experience in a newsroom was as a reporter, anchor, and crew member for my high school's broadcast program, Cen10 News.
How is social media changing news?
I think it's making the news more accessible to young people and easier to share. For journalists, it's helped us find stories and sources.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did! I wrote about music and fashion and also worked on my high school broadcast team.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Talk to as many different journalists as you can! Get to know all the different areas of journalism you're interested in.
What's your favorite drink?
Chai lattes or iced matcha lattes!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Probably playing with my cat, Stella, or catching up with friends at a local cafe.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I love Refinery29 as well as classic fashion magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair.
