I'm about due for my 40K service and wanted to know what independent service shop people recommend. From my what I see there are really only two options: Scandia (in Sunnyvale) and Swedish (Campbell). If you have any experiences with either or are aware of another let me know.

Where are IWC bracelets, clasps and cases manufactured?
Hi IWC fans. Anyone know definitively where IWC’s bracelets, clasps and cases are manufactured? IWC’s website gives plenty of information about movement making, conception and quality control in Switzerland, but not where other components like bracelets (not straps), clasps and cases are manufactured. Thank you. (((By the way, I am very tempted by the Ingenieur, so I am trying to learn everything I can. I’m not necessarily against high-quality parts from outside of Switzerland.
Soon-to-be XC90 Owner
#1 · Hello Swedespeed people. I'm picking up an XC90 tomorrow and part of that decision was due in part to the vast resource this forum has, so thanks. I look forward to lurking around and hopefully asking questions that have not been asked a thousand times prior.
Grand Seiko Thickness
#2 · If thickness was such a deterrent, people wouldn’t be buying them. I suggest you try it before you knock it. Visit an AD and try a few on for size and decide for yourself. No amount of persuasion by forum members is gong to convince you otherwise. #5 · If thickness was such a deterrent, people wouldn't be buying them. I suggest you try it before you knock it. Feb 22 - welcoming back a “GP Icon”
Cru Jones 869 Feb 22 - welcoming back a “GP Icon” Feb 21, 2022,16:57 PM Hmmmmm….. what could it be? Comments: view entire thread My two thoughts: Sea Hawk or world timer travel watch. By: Cru Jones : February 21st, 2022-19:40 But probably wishful thinking. It GP had something so significant lined up, I doubt Kering would have let it go when they did. This is probably just something little to create a little buzz (which it has). Sea hawk? Absolute?
