What was your first job as a journalist?
CNBC intern.

How is social media changing news?
Social media has helped to open up dialogue and has welcomed "citizen journalists" who really are the eyes and ears on the ground.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To be a journalist is to be fair, to be curious, and to be focused.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Through email.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter!!
Why did you become a journalist?
I tend to get bored really easily. It's exhilarating to work in an industry that's constantly moving, and always changing.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, I did not.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
There's a very fine line between "Doing the right thing" and "Doing the thing right." I think that could define you as a journalist.
