No, but I most certainly would break the piggybank just to go back in time, purchase one, then come back and use it.

I believe social media is now the "real" news medium. "Real" meaning live and cosmopolitan - not insular and narrative-driven. People news.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
Any meaningless hashtag that ends with "MustFall". Ever since students did , it's become gimmicky.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Polaris Office for Word. Evernote for note-keeping. Grammarly for advanced spell-checking and the like.
What's your favorite social network?
Facebook and WhatsApp.
Who do you wish followed you?
Nobody in particular. I don't hero-worship, I merely respect.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, I didn't. I was once enlisted to work for it but other commitments got in the way. Being an editor is my way of making up for lost times.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Every story I've ever had the privilege of editing. Each project is a gift, like a child. Every child, whether big or small, is a gift.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Aspire for authenticity. That's the highest truth one can ever live for.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime. However, I'm liable to answer only in the mornings (South Africa Time).
What's your favorite drink?
Rooibos and black tea. Albeit I don't think of it as "tea." I call it "the potion of creativity."
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Snug in bed with good books, good tea, and good biscuits.

You! Magazine. It's my dream to be an editor there someday.
