#18 Add Dixon, Marshall and Rioli to that fwd line and it looks a lot more dangerous. Lycett as the #1 ruckman is the weak spot. Finlayson offers a great point of difference in the ruck but you don't want to be conceding those centre clearances to the top ruckmen. I don't think they'll win the flag but that doesn't make them pretenders. Dixon is cooked. Should just go with Lord, Marshall and Finlayson as two of them are super agile.

True, and I strongly believe that this is very important to remember as too often only the best AFL players even get a shot to become assistant coaches which is really stupid since playing ability and coaching ability are two very different things.

Surprised there hasn't been a thread on the main board already. Spent 12 months convincing North and the media he wanted to go Pick 1, sold himself on his competitiveness and professionalism then within a year requested a trade after sooking it up all season, missing sessions and routinely undermining the coaches and leadership group. He might have a lot of talent and has already shown it at AFL level but there are now plenty of red flags.

The club really has to fight for relevance - a foundation club and one premiership in 125 years. The Bulldogs flag in 2016 has shown it is possible for historical minnows to break through. But the Saints just never seem to have the right leadership. Rowan Marshall and Max King are definitely two really solid planks to build around. Not sure King is a forward though; could be a gun CHB for the next 10 years for them.
Adelaide's record against Geelong away from SA
#12 GMHBA is a cheat ground that no other team is used to due to both the dimensions and the wind getting in due to the low roofs (or whatever you call it) for the crowd. If every team played away games there vs Geelong they would lose almost every time as well due to these reasons. Every other teams home ground is actually a proper stadium. So many injuries at your new ground. Hopefully unrelated but bleak signs for a club trying to rebuild.
