San Francisco resident Curt Sigfstead moved to the Bay Area after attending Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island, where he studied international relations and participated on the varsity rowing and rugby teams. Curt Sigfstead continued his schooling at the University of Western Ontario Richard Ivey School of Business where he graduated with a Master of Business Administration.

Mr. Sigfstead stays active in his community as a volunteer. He contributes his time to the San Francisco Food Bank and Marin Food Bank, a nonprofit that strives to end hunger in San Francisco and Marin, relying on the support of 25,000 volunteers annually. He also volunteers with the Katherine Delmar Burke School, an independent, private school for girls based in San Francisco. Curt Sigfstead maintains connections to his alma maters by serving on the 20th Reunion Fundraising Committee with Brown University and on the 15th Reunion Fundraising Committee for the Richard Ivey School of Business.

In his free time, Mr. Sigfstead enjoys exploring and staying active through his hobbies, which include hiking, skiing, and playing tennis.
