What was your first job as a journalist?
I worked in the doldrums in a freelance "sweatshop" situation. It was draining and unfulfilling, but put me through my paces.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes. That's exactly why I started writing in the first place. I loved the sound of typing.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Truth. First and foremost. The goal for a journalist, in fact a writer, is to strive to give the world the purest form of truth.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Adobe Creative Suit, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
What's your favorite social network?
Twitter and Instagram
Why did you become a journalist?
Because I love writing. I absolutely must write. And I'm a Libra, therefore wildly opinionated.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
An article I wrote about electronica artist Sima Kim. Also a fiction story I've been writing for three years now.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Strive for truth and honesty. Write what you know, write what you love, and love what you do. The genuine care for your craft will shine.
What's your favorite drink?
Milk, water... and Tequila (not together, of course!)
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Probably in bed reading manga, listening to music (always), or in the kitchen baking.
