Intelligent generative design framework for semantic driven mechanical design
Abstract Mechanical product design integrates functional reasoning, geometric modelling, assembly planning, and engineering validation, yet remains highly dependent on human expertise. Existing large language models lack the spatial reasoning and physical constraint awareness required for engineering-grade design, whereas task-specific neural networks perform well in localised geometric recognition but are restricted to narrowly defined and repetitive tasks.

HRC safety-related issues, factors and impacts
Context 1 ... potential during HRC ( Chen et al., 2022a). A safe HRC can be pervasively used in broad industries, such as manufacturing, transportation, and various niche areas. Nevertheless, HRC in shared, unstructured, and dynamic environments usually makes safety assurance between humans and robots complicated and challenging. The scenario is illustrated in Fig. ... Several cases of sensor-based HRC safety strategies
Context 1 ... to the presence and motions of its human partner based on the distance between the robot and the human. Sensors adopted in the strategies are mainly used to support SRMS and SSM safety modes. The sensors mainly include optoelectronic sensors, camera sensors, radar sensors, AR/VR/XR sensors ( Bdiwi et al., 2022a). Several cases are illustrated in Fig. 5.

Hybrid evolutionary algorithm for stochastic multiobjective disassembly line balancing problem in remanufacturing
With the development of the industrial economy and the accelerated renewal of products, many end-of-life products (EOL) have been generated to pollute our environment. This fact highlights the importance of recycling and remanufacturing EOL products as an active research topic. An efficient disassembly line is one solution for improving the remanufacturing and recycling processes of EOL products while reducing the environmental pollution.
Construction on LaGuardia AirTrain Planned to Start this Summer
"A better way to LGA" is further crystalizing with a nod from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Yesterday, the FAA released its Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS), a document supporting the AirTrain LGA, a $2 billion, 1.5-mile transit link that would connect LaGuardia Airport with public transit." — Urbanize NYC The FAA should release a “Record of Decision” later this spring, at which point construction on the AirTrain can begin.

Neutrophil autophagy and extracellular DNA traps contribute to airway inflammation in severe asthma
Summary Background Autophagy and neutrophil extracellular DNA traps (NETs) are implicated in asthma; however, their roles in asthma pathogenesis have not been elucidated. Objectives We compared autophagy and NET production levels from peripheral blood neutrophils (PBNs) of patients with severe asthma (SA) and non‐severe asthma (NSA). Additionally, we investigated the inflammatory effects of NETs on human airway epithelial cells (AECs) and peripheral blood eosinophils (PBEs).
Autophagy mechanisms in sputum and peripheral blood cells of patients with severe asthma: a new therapeutic target
Autophagy and genetic predisposition have been suggested to potentially play roles in the development of asthma. However, little is known about the role of autophagy in the pathogenesis of severe asthma. We compared autophagy in the sputum granulocytes, peripheral blood cells (PBCs) and peripheral blood eosinophils (PBEs) between patients with severe asthma and those with non‐severe asthma and investigated the functional effects of autophagy.
A Multidisciplinary Evaluation of a Web-based eLearning Training Programme for SAFRON II (TROG 13.01): a Multicentre Randomised Study of Stereotactic Radiotherapy for Lung Metastases - Clinical Oncology
In technically advanced multicentre clinical trials, participating centres can benefit from a credentialing programme before participating in the trial. Education of staff in participating centres is an important aspect of a successful clinical trial.
