Background: A Phase I open-label multicenter study was initiated to evaluate the association of T-cell lymphocyte-4 (CTLA-4) inhibitor Trem with Gef in progressing EGFR-mut NSCLC (NCT02040064). Methods: Key inclusion criteria included advanced NSCLC with an EGFR-mut, progression after a response on any prior EGFR TKI (first line or beyond), adequate PS (0-1).
Background: Osimertinib, an oral, irreversible EGFR-TKI selective for sensitising (EGFRm) and T790M resistance mutations, has been shown to be effective and well tolerated in clinical studies for pts with EGFR T790M positive aNSCLC. Pts in France had early access to osimertinib through an ATU program before approval.
We thank Dr Addeo for his interest in our recent report of the LUX-Lung 5 study in the Annals of Oncology [1]. In his letter [2], he raises several points of concern, most of which were already discussed in the paper. We would thus like to focus our reply on some important aspects of our study. To the best of our knowledge, LUX-Lung 5 is the first randomized phase III study of ≥fourth-line treatment of patients with metastatic non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
