Objectives There is histological evidence of COVID-19 affecting the vascular bed of the placenta. However, detrimental effects on the fetus have sparsely been documented. The aim of this study was to evaluate whether COVID-19-associated placental impairment interferes with fetal development. Methods Fetal and placental assessment was done using T1-, DWI, SSFP, T2- and EPI-w sequences. 54 pregnant women underwent prenatal MRI after SARS-CoV-2 infection between July 2020 and January 2023.
