Observation of the spiral spin liquid in a triangular-lattice material - Nature Communications
Abstract The spiral spin liquid (SSL) is a highly degenerate state characterized by a continuous contour or surface in reciprocal space spanned by a spiral propagation vector. Although the SSL state has been predicted in a number of various theoretical models, very few materials are so far experimentally identified to host such a state. Via combined single-crystal wide-angle and small-angle neutron scattering, we report observation of the SSL in the quasi-two-dimensional delafossite-like AgCrSe2.
Reentrant multiple-q magnetic order and a “spin meta-cholesteric” phase in Sr3Fe2O7 - npj Quantum Materials
Abstract Topologically nontrivial magnetic structures such as skyrmion lattices are well known in materials lacking lattice inversion symmetry, where antisymmetric exchange interactions are allowed. Only recently, topological multi-q magnetic textures that spontaneously break the chiral symmetry, for example, three-dimensional hedgehog lattices, were discovered in centrosymmetric compounds, where they are instead driven by frustrated interactions.
Temperature-dependent Fermi surface of 2H -TaSe2 driven by competing density wave order fluctuations
Temperature evolution of the 2H -TaSe2 Fermi surface (FS) is studied by high-resolution angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. High-accuracy determination of the FS geometry was possible after measuring electron momenta and velocities along all high-symmetry directions as a function of temperature with subsequent fitting to a tight-binding model. The estimated incommensurability parameter of the nesting vector agrees with that of the incommensurate charge modulations.
Conductivity of island metal films covered with organic molecules
Experimental data were obtained on the effect of adsorbed organic molecules (naphthalene, stearone, benzene, xylene, aluminum oxyquinoline and mixtures of some aliphatic compounds) on the conductivity of gold island films. Nanoisland structures were realized which exhibit non-linear conduction current-voltage characteristics and a sharp switching effect in the presence of adsorbed organics.
