The index participants were the community-dwelling older adults who participated in the Korean Longitudinal Study on Cognitive Aging and Dementia (KLOSCAD) [17]. The KLOSCAD is a community-based nationwide prospective cohort study in which Koreans aged 60 years and over were randomly sampled from 13 districts across South Korea using residential rosters.
