Consider the Pros and Cons of Corrosion Testing Methods
The Lead and Copper Rule (LCR) is intended to reduce consumer exposure to lead and copper in drinking water. The rule has been revised several times since it was established in 1991, including the recent Lead and Copper Rule Revisions (LCRR) published on Jan. 15, 2021.
Recycling Treatment Plant Residuals: Concerns Beyond Pathogens
As the practice of recycling water treatment residuals matures, additional contaminants beyond pathogens are becoming increasingly relevant to how facilities may recycle their residuals streams. Manganese recycling and residuals treatment will become more critical if the US Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) ultimately promulgates a primary drinking water regulation targeting manganese.

Copper Corrosion Under the Lead and Copper Rule Long‐Term Revisions
Results of a recent survey suggest that water systems with water quality conditions that may be aggressive toward copper should address the potential for copper corrosion, even though it will be several years before the LCR Long-Term Revisions are promulgated.
