What does it mean to be a journalist?
To me, being a journalist is not just about informing the public, it's about connecting with others and conveying an honest, heartfelt story.
What's your favorite social network?
My favorite social networks are Facebook and Twitter.
Who do you wish followed you?
If I had a wishlist of who I wanted, I'd want the writers in the sport of baseball to follow me; including Beat Writers.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
If had any advice to give, since I am not a professional, would be to start blogging, develop a following, and be yourself when writing.
What's your favorite drink?
I never one to pass on a good wine. I'm a beer drinker, but I also enjoy good wines; Rieslings and a good Moscato.
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I can't say that I have a favorite. I like to read SI, ESPN Mag, and newspaper articles. I tend to follow beat and newsprint writers more.
What's the most common misperception about your beat?
I think the common misconception of me, is that I speak form the heart while applying common sense and little bias. I'm not a stats guy.
