Dan Lucas’s Biography
Dan was a regular columnist on the Salem (Oregon) Statesman Journal editorial page from 2013-2017, writing mainly on politics. He was also editor for the conservative blog Oregon Catalyst for six years.
He is a former analyst at a major Cold War spy station in Berlin, and was a Community Writer for OregonLive/the Hillsboro Argus & Forest Grove Leader before moving from Beaverton to Salem in 2013.
