Weekly Alibi — When a community faces the loss of someone who was well-loved, it's palpable. The moments and memories they shared with those around them become something held by one less person, with more untold and lost forever. On the morning of Tuesday, Aug. 11 citizens of Albuquerque woke up to the news of just that.

Weekly Alibi — Maskholes. It's the term that was coined and defined through UrbanDictionary.com as, "assholes who don't wear masks publicly during the coronavirus/COVID-19 pandemic." Sadly, this nearly exclusively American problem of mask adoption rates has been one of the larger contributing factors to why the outbreak on the homefront has been so widespread and drawn out.

Weekly Alibi — Alright, everyone. It's time to put on our tin foil hats. One of the stranger parts of working within the journalism sector is the amount of unsolicited "anonymous" tips you get. This isn't to say I don't want them. In fact, I love them.

Weekly Alibi — With indoor dining closed again, I feel the need to speak up again. I've been no stranger to speaking about my time in the service industry. National chains to local dives, I've worked front and back of the house multiple times, with varying degrees of uniforms, including a stint in full kilt, much to the chagrin of my fellow employees.

Weekly Alibi — This is the ice cream that genuinely stops you in your tracks to take a minute and appreciate all that it is. There is probably a long and complicated German word for that feeling, but in that moment of trying it, only one simple word came to mind: Bliss.

Weekly Alibi — Like many a snake person, I grew up watching "Full House" and "America's Funniest Home Videos," and having Bob Saget as a cultural touchstone, America's Dad. As time went on and we grew up, the other side began to be more prevalent, namely his stand-up.

Weekly Alibi — My early college years were interesting, to say the least, as I would assume most others feel about their own. Struggling to get by on my meager earnings while living on my own, eating something other than ramen or scrambled eggs was truly a treat.

Weekly Alibi — Daydream and Nob Hill Bar & Grill are two sides of the same coin, in the sense that they have found the need for Nob Hill to be built back up with new ventures, one a reimagining, one a bold new addition. Both manage to stick the landing when it comes to impressing.

Weekly Alibi — I come to you with terrible news: I was accused of gonzo journalism. Well, I sat and reflected on it and came to the conclusion that, yes, I am and will continue to be. Storytelling and food go hand in hand, and I've found that food sections feel too disconnected and third-person-y if you don't accurately share the experience of eating out somewhere.
