Howard Saltz, editor of the Sun Sentinel in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., was named publisher and editor-in-chief. Saltz was named editor of the Sun Sentinel in August 2011. Saltz is also chairman of the journalism advisory board for Florida International University. He speaks frequently at journalism organizations and universities.
Howard Saltz, the editor who led the Sun Sentinel to its first Pulitzer Prize, on Wednesday was named Publisher & Editor-in-Chief. Saltz, 55, of Boca Raton, takes the reins from Publisher & CEO Howard Greenberg, who announced his retirement in December, capping more than three decades with the Sun Sentinel.
