Additionally, Canadian far-right extremists have weaponised anxiety about the situation, pushing the idea that global racial tensions are escalating as a justification for white nationalist activism. In particular, the crisis has created the perfect situation for neo-Nazi accelerationists: A rapidly escalating, deadly conflict in which they see neither side as ‘white’. This allows them to exploit death and destruction in Gaza to promote narratives of societal collapse without offending their audiences who, at best, consider the deaths of white people to be of higher importance, and at worst actively celebrate the deaths of non-white people.

Living in Hampton, Ontario, with her husband and four children, she goes by many names online: “Aryan Aurelia,” “Vicky Ruby Weaver”—a reference to white supremacist Vicki Weaver who was killed at Ruby Ridge—and “Mothers Against Joggers.” Jogger is a stand-in for the n-slur referencing Ahmaud Arbery, a Black man murdered while jogging. All the accounts that she runs post content promoting national socialism, militant action, and extreme hate speech.

Medium — Earlier this week, the New York Times published a story on Russian disinformation that specifically used Nazis in Ukraine as a narrative for justifying Russia's invasion. The article cites data that, while telling, is presented by The Timesas though it is disinformation on the basis that the media collected in it mentions Nazis in Ukraine at an inorganically high rate.

Medium — If you don’t have to read the manifesto, I would strongly urge you not to touch it. If you’re familiar with /pol culture on 4Chan its contents would not surprising, interesting, or remotely unique. Its contents would also not be shocking enough to satisfy a grotesque curiosity for anyone savvy to the culture that created it. It’s predictable in its contents and lazy in its execution, just as the creations of others capable of unimaginable acts often are. There’s no meaning to be found in reading it. There’s only some limited information on a copycat terrorist and the ideas that surround him, all of which are shrouded in shallow irony and a series of efforts to troll readers.

Medium — On Friday, April 15, Tucker Carlson's websites released a trailer for The End of Men, an episode in the upcoming episode of Tucker Carlson Originals produced by Fox News. Following a viral tweet by Nikki McCan Ramirez of Media Matters, the montage ending the clip was quickly the subject of widespread mockery for, among other things, its perceived homoerotic undertones and the appearance of "red light therapy" on a man's genitals.
