Daniel Alestrand

Daniel Alestrand is a journalist, editor, and entrepreneurial leader whose multi-disciplinary impact is recognised across European and international innovation, media, and academic circles. Currently serving as Editor-in-Chief of Stockholm Valley, Stockholm’s largest online tech startup magazine with 100,000 monthly readers, Daniel is at the forefront of documenting the evolution of the Nordics’ tech landscape, regularly liaising with founders and investors from Europe and North America.

Alestrand’s educational trajectory continues at Durham University, where he is reading for a BA in Business & Management (ranked in the UK Top 3 for the discipline in 2026) and actively involved in collegiate sports and charity events.

His academic achievements are complemented by a year in Stockholm where, at only 18, he became the youngest person in Europe ever to present a university seminar, focusing on brain-computer interfaces and AI at the Stockholm School of Economics and Sweden’s House of Innovation. His seminars have been attended by undergraduates, postgraduates, faculty, and Executive Education participants, collaborating with leading figures and developing groundbreaking perspectives on the intersection of technology, neuroethics, and identity.
