What was your first job as a journalist?
It depends what you call journalism & if you count a "self-employed" 4 year-old Daniel journalist. If not, a Sports Journalist at 18.
How is social media changing news?
Oh, don't even get me started.
What's the funniest news-related #hashtag you've seen?
Why did you become a journalist?
Journalism is a boomerang - I tried to escape it and explore different career paths... but it keeps on coming back and finding me. Love it!
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I've been writing since the launch of my high-school's newspaper since it launched back in 2017 and when I left in 2024, "Stuff @ SJB."
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Definitely my piece on Migrationsverket: massive impact, went viral, written with 100% of my personality. The feedback made it all worth it.
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Funnily enough, the best pitches are usually corridor conversations and a bit of: "Have you shared this story? No!? Send press release ASAP"
Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?
I do love a good Caitlin Moran piece in The Times. Icon!
