Link Up TV — Since the days of iTunes, the idea of albums has changed. Fans no longer had to purchase an album to hear the songs they wanted, they could just purchase it for 79p and play it to their heart's content.

Link Up TV — Riz Ahmed is an exceptionally talented actor-writer who is having a real moment, as he comes off the back of 2 critically acclaimed films, The Sound of Metal and Mogul Mowgli. The Sound of Metal has earnt him 38 nominations, winning 17 of those and for his role, he has predicted to get an Oscar nomination.

Link Up TV — Tomorrow sees 9 years since the release of Lowkey's 'Soundtrack to the Struggle.' Now when this album came out I wasn't planning on buying it. This is pre-streaming days, so buying an album (or acquiring via other nefarious means) was the only way to listen to music.

Link Up TV — Last night, after a whole bag of hype in the build-up, Ghetts and Skepta released their first-ever collaboration 'IC3.' The track produced by Ten Billion Dreams is part of the superb rollout for Ghetts' highly anticipated next album. This collaboration is one that is almost 15 years in the making, one that fans have been calling for since the days of MySpace.

Link Up TV — Last week, Complex UK shared their 15 Channel U videos we will never forget article with a clip from SLK's Hype Hype and immediately nostalgia flooded in. People retweeted it sharing their memories of the song, whether it was hearing it wheeled up in a rave or turning up the volume while they listened to it in their living room.

Link Up TV — When you talk about political rap in this country, a few names are always mentioned, with Lowkey and Akala being frontrunners in that conversation. These 2 have proven time and time again, through their lyrical ability and knowledge that they can make informed and persuasive political statements.

Link Up TV — The Behind Barz series here on Link Up has had some legendary moments, but one of them was particularly special. Following my Islamic Drill article and the talk on social media around the video, I remembered one of the most important quintessential expressions of Islam in UK Music and that is Krept and Konan's classic Behind Barz freestyle.

Link Up TV — When it comes to music and religion, there are usually two different ways that artists go about it. There are musicians who are religious and then there are religious musicians. Religious musicians are people who make "secular" (for lack of a better term) music, but whose religion is a part of their personality; and so their music reflects that.
