There has been a historic appointment in the Netherlands national team. Xavi has become the new head coach of Oranje. The 46-year-old has signed a contract until the 2030 World Cup. It is Xavi's first job in international management. "You could say that I am somewhat a son of Dutch football," said Xavi. He then named the people who shaped his view of football: Johan Cruyff, Rinus Michels, Louis van Gaal and Frank Rijkaard. Xavi is the national team's first foreigner in almost 50 years.
