Household portfolio allocation and stock market beliefs: Evidence from Japanese households
1 INTRODUCTION The main feature of the stock market that attracts households is the belief that the stock market yields higher returns than risk-free investments. Without this belief, households choose not to participate in the stock market even in the absence of any participation costs. These expectations are based on households' beliefs about different dimensions of stock market functions, such as profitability, fairness, efficiency, and prudential supervision (i.e., trust in regulation).

Algorithmic management in the workplace: AI in the Workplace
Algorithms play an increasingly fundamental role in our lives, and the workplace is no exception. Generative AI in the workplace
Generative AI is the process of AI algorithms generating or creating an output from user instructions or prompts, based on the datasets they are trained on. This could take the form of, for example, text, images, video, code, data or 3D renderings. ChatGPT has "viral-ised" generative AI, recently becoming the fastest-growing consumer app in history, hitting 100 million users in the first two months after its launch.

However, the question of at what point statistical bias amounts to unlawful discrimination is more complex. Statistical analysis is often relied upon as evidence of indirect discrimination in employment.
Portfolio allocation and borrowing constraints
We now turn to the estimates relating to the OF model, which constitutes our preferred estimation framework. As described previously, this approach entails jointly modelling the household's financial portfolio in the form of the proportion of financial wealth allocated to high, medium and low-risk asset categories. Table presents the coefficients and the marginal effects for the OF model.

ACCC authorisations keep industries afloat during COVID-19 | Lexology
Faced with the changing tides of market forces, competitors are normally forced to sink or swim, solo. But in the face of COVID-19, the ACCC’s power to grant authorisations has provided a much-needed third option for embattled businesses—to co-operate. The result of this is a life raft on which many industries have managed to stay afloat. What is authorisation?
