Daniel Mader’s Biography

I am a content producer at The Sporting News, where I cover everything going on in the sport world, from the NFL, NBA and MLB seasons, to tennis, golf and the Olympics. Outside of trending and breaking news stories, explaining what's happening in sports, I have contributed feature stories, in-depth evergreen content and plenty more to SN.

In the past, I have also covered Penn State football for Penn State on SI, NBC Sports and the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, along with other Penn State and high school sports for the Centre Daily Times, The Daily Collegian and LNP/LancasterOnline.

In this portfolio, I included what I believe to be some of my best work as a sports storyteller. My biggest passion is writing profiles or human-oriented stories that dive into who athletes, coaches, etc. are away from their sport; I've included my contact information here as well.
