What was your first job as a journalist?
At University, when I was a student I wrote for the paper of my Faculty.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
When I first learned typography, I had to wrestle with typewriters, which are now relics of the past. Thanks to my mother, I can now type at lightning speed, reaching nearly 200 keystrokes per minute.
How is social media changing news?
Social media has changed the concept of information in the sense that today they are truly the main sources of information for a large part of the planet.

No idea.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
Being a journalist means being a dedicated seeker of truth, committed to uncovering and reporting facts with integrity and accuracy. It involves telling stories that matter, giving a voice to the voiceless, and holding those in power accountable. Journalism is about curiosity, persistence, and a passion for informing the public, often requiring one to navigate complex and challenging situations to bring important issues to light.

In any way, they can suggest, write, comment, or allow me to visit remote places…

Why did you become a journalist?
I have always wanted to be a journalist, ever since high school. My love for this profession is pure vocation. Although I know it is very difficult to make a living in this field, I have been fortunate enough to do what I love. Journalism is a constant discovery of circumstances, exposing violations, and ensuring truth and verification, but above all, it is a passion for well-done work.

Nop, but for my University yes.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Never lose your curiosity.

Anytime, but if possible not while sleeping!
What's the best pitch you ever got?
Travel to the Ecuadorian Amazon to meet a small indigenous nationality and live with them for several days in the middle of the jungle.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
I don’t remember any, which means that no matter what is proposed to me, I have always found some interest in doing it the best way I know how.

Swimming

What's the most common misperception about your beat?
The biggest misconception I encounter is the tendency to portray conflicts in stark black and white terms, ignoring the nuances. In reality, conflicts are deeply complex, and there are countless individuals who are willing to sacrifice everything for peace.
