Development of a machine-learning risk stratification tool for vasoactive medication need after two-bolus fluid resuscitation in pediatric suspected sepsis
Abstract Timely vasopressor initiation is critical in fluid-refractory pediatric septic shock, yet clinicians lack objective tools to identify children requiring early hemodynamic escalation after fluid resuscitation. We performed a retrospective multicenter study using electronic health record data from five pediatric emergency departments (March 2022-February 2025).

Both ENDS: Equality as a key for international trade
Trade has been in the global spotlight once again in recent times. Recently, ministers from around the world gathered in Abu Dhabi at the WTO for negotiations on world trade in the coming years. However, participants from civil society were silenced. Never before has their freedom been so severely restricted at the WTO. In a time when geopolitical tensions are escalating by the day, it is crucial to prioritize equality in international trade.

"How many layers of clothing are you wearing? One? No, that's not enough. You should wear your ski pants over your jeans, and change your shoes for snowboots." And there you are, on day 1 of your trip to Mongolia. I had already heard that Mongolia is very cold at the end of November, and with -22 degrees that seemed to be all true. After five years of equivocation the European Commission has proposed a ‘roadmap’ for stepping-up EU action to address its contribution to global deforestation.
Both ENDS: Our director Danielle Hirsch will stand as a candidate for the Dutch parliament
On Friday, the long awaited policy note by Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Sigrid Kaag was published. The note was the outcome of a process of consultation, scientific analysis and much discussion within and outside the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We searched for the spirit underlying it: What trends does this minister consolidate and deepen? What is new? Are those new aspects a superficial change of discourse or a genuine break with the past?

Opinie | Verouderd handelssysteem hindert klimaatbeleid

When considering options for the recovery of outstanding rent, landlords should remember that, in addition to recourse via an existing guarantor or a rent deposit, another avenue available to them in these challenging times is to pursue previous tenants or guarantors under a lease that has been assigned.
Both ENDS: Democratic Values Under Attack in Europe: The Need to Look Beyond the Dutch Dikes and the Role of Philanthropy
Last week, I read about the expected – yet still shocking – implications of the radical shift to the far-right in the Netherlands. The current coalition agreement includes measures previously adopted by other European countries with similar election outcomes, leading to a curtailment of democratic freedoms, an inward focus, and attempts to limit the role of civil society.

Both ENDS: Press release: Government undermines its own climate policy with export credit insurance
Press release / 18 November 2019 The Netherlands provides export credit insurances and guarantees worth 1.5 billion euros annually to Dutch companies active in the oil and gas sector abroad. This support amounts to one and a half times the annual amount that the Cabinet of Prime Minister Rutte mobilises for climate initiatives worldwide. The intended effects of Dutch international climate policy are more than offset by this fossil export support.
