Danielle opened her first business, called Raising Sand Studio, in January 2014. During this time, she worked as a Creative Consultant and Branding Specialist for a wide range of small businesses, including holistic doctor's offices, local artists, beauty professionals, and wellness specialists. Danielle used her skills to tell each brand's story and help them take their brand to new heights. She did this by being kind to people and being intuitive in her design work. During this part of her journey, Danielle was in charge of making sure that well-thought-out branding solutions were put into place that covered every aspect of starting a business. She did everything from file documents with the Secretary of State to help her clients make a step-by-step plan for building their brand. She also gave them access to drawn design services, digital marketing content, and web development on a variety of platforms.
Before she started her own business, Danielle worked as the Executive Manager, Officer, and Board Member for BoDo Chiropractic and Chiro for the People in Boise. This was a non-profit organization whose goal was to give people in and around the Treasure Valley access to essential health care. During this time, Danielle was also on the company's board of directors and held the positions of Secretary and Treasurer. Some of the things she did for the company were:
1. Putting together the paperwork with the IRS and the Secretary of State to make Chiro for the People a legal entity.
2. Wrote the organization's rules.
3. Arranged for and met with the lawyer to go over all of the final documents for starting a non-profit.
4. Made the company's website and all the written marketing content that goes with it.
5. Oversaw all of the company's communications.
6. Was in charge of the company's operations and finances.
7. While working at the clinic, Danielle became very interested in starting and growing small businesses. This was the start of what happened next.
