Danny Callaghan

I'm a freelance journalist based between London and Berlin. My reporting focuses on migration — specifically looking at the stories of those who have migrated to Europe and the policies which shape these experiences. I hold a degree in political science and am currently studying investigative journalism at City University, London.

Having joined The European Correspondent in September 2023, I report on the UK and migration-related topics across the EU. My long-form features have covered Europe’s tax abuse problem, the externalisation of the EU’s border and Britain’s colonial legacy. I speak English and German.
