Darcy Bergen’s Biography

In 2008, Bergen's parents were missionaries in Kenya, building orphanages, digging wells, and helping others. Seven locals brutalized the Bergens. Both survived, thankfully. Darcy Bergen started Bergens Mission in 2014 to make the traumatic experience positive. The group helps orphans nationwide and boosts the region. Bergen hopes the charity will educate and support Kenyan youth to prevent violence.

Bergen loves teaching financial planning. He recommends people choose financial products they understand. He and his wife Heather hosted the popular radio show Safe Money and Income for four years. He teaches retirement planning at surrounding schools. Bergen covers social security and risk management in his retirement book.

Bergen concentrates on retirement. He understands the need to teach future generations good financial habits. Bergen recommends early school enrollment. Parents may teach young children that duties generate money and that money buys toys and other things they want. Kids can learn to save.

Bergen says parents may teach their tweens and teens about money management. Most kids understand debt, credit cards, interest, and paychecks. Teens who work part-time may see how childhood lessons are implemented. Bergen claims that early children who learn effective financial planning become financially responsible adults.

Bergen's conservative approach seeks lifetime income. He helps clients locate stock market-protected fixed annuities. Bergen understands that the market's volatility might worry retirees. Bergen's group reduces stress by offering direction and knowledge. His team has over 100 years of experience creating customized retirement plans for consumers.
