Darrell Hartman’s Biography

Native Mainer Darrell Hartman graduated from Yale with a B.A. in Literature in 2003. He has been a full-time freelance writer since 2007, after spending two years as an assistant editor at Travel + Leisure magazine. He has reported stories on style, art, travel, business, and other subjects from all seven continents. He lives in the Catskills region just north of New York City and is the author of "Battle of Ink and Ice: A Sensational Story of New Barons, North Pole Explorers, and the Making of Modern Media" (Viking, 2023).
