There are some checks that can be undertaken to avoid purchasing fake PPE, and some factors that should be considered when using face coverings to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. The Covid-19 pandemic led to a rapid surge in demand for certain items of personal protective equipment (PPE). This, alongside product shortages caused by the constriction of international supply and new PPE suppliers entering the market, meant that procuring the correct PPE became more complex.
