How is social media changing news?

Social media is revolutionizing news dissemination by prioritizing speed and accessibility. Algorithms curate content, pushing sensational stories to the forefront, often at the expense of in-depth journalism. This shift enables real-time reporting but also fosters misinformation, as unverified sources gain traction. Tech platforms leverage user engagement metrics, creating echo chambers that influence public perception. The rise of citizen journalism empowers individuals to report news, yet raises questions about credibility. Overall, social media is reshaping how we consume information, challenging traditional media's role while demanding greater digital literacy from audiences to navigate the evolving landscape.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

As an entrepreneur and someone who values storytelling, my favorite fictional journalist has to be Clark Kent, aka Superman. Beyond the iconic superhero persona, Clark represents integrity and determination in journalism. He’s a master of balancing his day job at the Daily Planet while secretly saving the world. His character resonates with me because, much like entrepreneurs, he’s always solving problems, staying adaptable, and working under high-pressure situations.Clark’s relentless pursuit of truth and fairness mirrors the entrepreneurial spirit of digging deep and staying committed to the mission, even when things get tough. Whether on the page or screen, Clark’s journalistic integrity reminds me that being true to your values is key, no matter what you’re building.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

When I'm not at a computer, I'm usually immersed in nature or exploring new tech hubs. Hiking trails inspire creativity, offering a refreshing break from screens while allowing me to think clearly. Alternatively, I might be at a local coffee shop, surrounded by fellow tech enthusiasts, sharing ideas or discussing the latest innovations. I also enjoy attending meetups or hackathons, where collaboration fuels my passion for problem-solving. Whether it's a weekend coding retreat or a casual stroll in a park, these experiences recharge my mind and spark fresh perspectives that I bring back to my work.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

Aside from my own work, I enjoy reading Forbes. It’s packed with insights on business, entrepreneurship, and leadership that I find inspiring and practical. I also love how it covers innovation and emerging industries—it’s a great way to stay ahead of trends. Publications like Harvard Business Review are another go-to for their deep dives into strategy and decision-making. They always give me new perspectives on running a business.
