The stock market is hot, with all the major indices at near record levels. The competition from existing and newly created firms to attract financial advisors is fierce. Add to that mix that private equity is enamored with the growing and predictable recurring revenue business model. As a result, financial packages are being offered to financial advisors at unprecedented and seemingly unsustainable multiples, to acquire their growing and predictable cash flowing business.
