Did you ever notice how much soap actually comes out of a dispenser? It’s quite a bit. It’s certainly more than is necessary to wash one’s hands, and significantly greater excess when you’re dealing with a little one’s hands. And though critical to hand washing, many studies are finding that the friction of hand washing is equally as critical as the type and the amount of soap used. Limiting one’s use is simple – just pump halfway (or even less) to avoid waste.
