David is a foreign affairs journalist specialising in visually-driven reporting and analysis of geopolitics, diplomacy and security.
His recent work includes writing and presenting a documentary series filmed inside post-Assad Syria (later screened in Parliament), embedded reporting during NATO’s flagship military exercises, field dispatches across Europe and the Middle East, and contributing analysis of Russia's foreign policy to Ukraine's INTER TV/Podrobnosti.ua.
Previously, he held the positions of Foreign Correspondent and Chief Foreign Reporter at MailOnline, where he led day-to-day coverage of international news and developed long-form video and mini-doc content for the Daily Mail World YouTube channel (4.9 million subscribers).
Beyond the newsroom, David contributes as an analyst to geopolitical risk firms and recently co-authored a government-commissioned paper on Russia's foreign policy in the Middle East. He holds an NCTJ Level 5 Diploma in Multimedia Journalism (Gold Standard) and speaks French, Russian and conversational Norwegian.
