After the departure of Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv's sporting director Avi Even, the Israeli has a new sheriff in town, at least temporarily. According to Moses Barda from ONE, David Blatt has taken over the responsibilities of the sporting director at the organization. Interestingly, Even is still around the organization to help whenever necessary, Barda notes. Meanwhile, Blatt's long-time influence in European basketball is noted to be a significant factor in player recruitment.
