What was your first job as a journalist?
I started out doing a bunch of freelance stuff, and it's still my favorite thing to do.

How is social media changing news?
It allows people to live in a bubble. Social media allows outlets to spin the same story according to their own political views.

I'm old school, Dave Barry!
What does it mean to be a journalist?
I think that objectivity is in really short supply now, so if you can be objective I'm impressed.

Other bloggers and writers. I like to network with them and get feedback.
Why did you become a journalist?
We are all observers, journalist just write down their observations and share them. I always thought that I could give a unique perspective.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, I was too lazy in high school!
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I truly don't have a favorite. As long as my readers find my writing both informative and entertaining I'm happy.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Write, post or make a video everyday until it becomes a habit.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Anytime in the morning, that's when I'm most likely to check my emails.
