Abstract Triptolide is a natural product isolated from a traditional Chinese medicinal plant for treating rheumatoid arthritis and other autoimmune diseases. Triptolide displays diverse bioactivities, including anti-inflammation, immunosuppression, anti-cancer, etc. Triptolide was reported to crosslink with the residue Cys342 of human XPB (HsXPB), a DNA helicase required for transcription and DNA repair. This interaction inhibits XPB's ATPase activity.
