High-resolution awake mouse fMRI at 14 tesla
eLife Assessment This is a valuable study describing an implementation of awake mouse fMRI with implanted head coils at high fields. The evidence presented is convincing, combining technical advances with interesting neuroscience applications showing that mice anticipate stimuli given at regular (but at irregular) intervals.
Identifying the bioimaging features of Alzheimer’s disease based on pupillary light response-driven brain-wide fMRI in awake mice - Nature Communications
Abstract Pupil dynamics has emerged as a critical non-invasive indicator of brain state changes. In particular, pupillary-light-responses (PLR) in Alzheimer’s disease (AD) patients show potential as biomarkers for brain degeneration.
Mapping the Cerebrovascular Abnormality in Transgenic Alzheimer's Disease (AD) Mice with deep-learning-based super-resolution cerebral blood volume (CBV)-MRI
Abstract To measure the brain-wide vascular density (VD) alteration in degenerated brains with Alzheimer's Disease (AD), deep learning-based super-resolution approach was developed to assist the segmentation of micro-vessels from the Monocrystalline Iron Oxide Nanoparticle (MION)-based CBV MRI images of transgenic mouse brains.
High-resolution awake mouse fMRI at 14 Tesla
Abstract High-resolution awake mouse fMRI remains challenging despite extensive efforts to address motion-induced artifacts and stress. This study introduces an implantable radiofrequency (RF) surface coil design that minimizes image distortion caused by the air/tissue interface of mouse brains while simultaneously serving as a headpost for fixation during scanning.

Alpha-180 spin-echo based line-scanning method for high resolution laminar-specific fMRI
This is a preprint. It has not yet been peer reviewed by a journal. The National Library of Medicine is running a pilot to include preprints that result from research funded by NIH in PMC and PubMed. Display options Abstract Laminar-specific functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) has been widely used to study circuit-specific neuronal activity by mapping spatiotemporal fMRI response patterns across cortical layers.
