UCU Stumbling
Sometimes you need to write just to work through what you think, how you are feeling, and why. Sometimes you need to write to try to get things out of your head and on to paper so your mind can rest. That's me with union stuff right now: I'm feeling pretty awful about it. So here I am working through things in text, because on Monday I will be up early and back out on a picket line supervising, and I need to know what to say to people, and how I can bear to say it.

My timeline is absolutely full of people all across the higher education sector - whether striking academics like myself, or journalists and commentators - who are talking about "what universities can afford to pay" staff right now. This feels like a very important moment, in the middle of ACAS negotiations and a huge sector-wide industrial action campaign about pay and conditions, to look at university pay, financial positions, and the "state of the sector" in as rounded a way as possible.

At the Heart of Pandemic University: A Moral Vacuum.
We have only just started teaching, and I can tell you already that it is over: this ship is going to crash. The course is set, the shoals are already upon us, there is no one at the helm, and no lighthouse in sight. Nothing guides university policy across the UK in this time of pandemic other than dead-eyed, brutish finance. Bayshore Shopping Centre
Great mall with lots of store choices. Absolutely love the Dreamweaver store! Food court is nice and big, with lots of choices, but some staff at certain places aren't very friendly. Well organized, excellent for those who may want to shop in a hurry. The best part is the "straight path up" parking. Best I've seen anywhere. Beautiful! H&M is pure craziness since it opened. Walked in, walked out. But it's a great store for quality at a good price! So, worth the way if you want to come back another time.

It's much easier to navigate than the giant superstores, but products are sometimes unstocked. Hey Diogenes, whoever you are, how could you check in over 60 times, do you work there? You seem to be not playing fair when checking in to places. Don't be obsessive in being at so many places. Great place for your bowel buddy fix. Go next door to Zellers to buy milk - save about $3 per bag! Clerks seem lifeless, no one cares.. Not sure if I care anymore! Crappy organics selection.
