David Jacobson’s Biography

David Jacobson is a creative, media dynamo who mixes a passion for pop culture with the unique ability to devise fresh
marketing and promotional strategies to maximize audience interest and excitement.

Born and raised in Boca Raton, Fl, David began to take advantage of the internet at an early age, and was able to soak up a lot more than just south Florida sun in the process.

David began using the highly popular subdomain of Google, Blogger, when he and a few colleagues in his Freshman year Journalism class decided to create an online outlet for their school paper. Straying from the normal school and community related topics, the team broadened their audience and reach by incorporating a pop-culture influence in terms of coverage, and drew nearly 200,000 hits along the way. Soon enough, David's instructor took notice, and decided to transcend the paper to an online edition as well, which received a positive reception form students and the entire local community. Aside from the school being rewarded for its innovative direction, David was asked to intern with the Palm Beach Post, where he was very hands on in developing content for both their print and online publications.

After graduating with honors, David enrolled at the Florida State University in Fall of 2010 where he studied Editing, Writing, and Media, and was a member of the school's honor society. Quickly, he was recruited by the school's student newspaper, where he covered a variety of topics ranging from sports, to music, and even technology. He also was fortunate enough to intern with a number of great online outlets as a contributing writer and even an editor. David has produced content for esteemed publications such as Complex Magazine, Kicksonfire, Vibe To This, to name a few, and even generated video content as well. Additionally, he spent a summer as a part of Zimmerman Advertising Agency's exclusive internship program, where he was immersed and infused with knowledge about the Marketing and Advertising industry. Whether it was working along side clients like Extended Stay America Hotels, or conceptualizing :30 spots for new Party City campaigns, David wasted no time in getting involved and absorbing everything he possibly could during his time there.

Knowing that the realms of Media and Marketing are something David was destined to do, he has since moved to New York City to intern for Rolling Stone Magazine.
