How to build a better transit system? Good leadership, smart planning and sufficient funding
New York City, 2050. Congestion pricing has been in effect for over a quarter-century, generating more than $30 billion dollars to modernize transit. Car traffic has dropped significantly, especially in Manhattan below 60th St., and all New Yorkers are benefitting from cleaner air and quieter streets.
