Accelerating accessibility in the public sector
The public sector is truly unique. No other space serves a diverse population across a large volume of varying services. Public sector leaders must adapt to delivering equitable digital accessibility experiences to their constituents. This is a massive opportunity for improvement, as a 2023 study found 28.6 accessibility errors on the average government homepage.
Sometimes starting a prayer with "Hey, God," is the way to go
Jesus said when you pray, say “Our Father,” but I haven’t done that much in the past few years, except during “The Lord’s Prayer” in church. When Jesus taught his disciples to pray “Our Father,” it was a term of intimacy, inviting them to view God as a parent, someone who cares about them and will care for them.

The Future Of Firearms: Bill C-21 Proposes Strongest-Ever Restrictions
Last week, Public Safety Canada released a statement on a hotly contested piece of legislation that could become the strictest gun law in North America. Bill C-21, which was first introduced one year ago, proposes amendments to four federal laws: the Criminal Code, the Firearms Act, the Nuclear Safety and Control Act, and the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Bill C-21 is currently at the committee stage, so it is a long way from becoming law.

The Evolution of Geospatial Technology Calls for Changes in Geospatial Research, Education and Government Management
1. Introduction Over the last 15 years, geospatial technologies have evolved and dramatically converged with a variety of formal information technology disciplines. The discrete, even esoteric pursuits we referred to as GIS, Earth imaging, GPS, AM/FM, location based services and navigation systems are no longer discrete.
Why Are Conservatives Obsessed with Pedophilia Right Now?
Last week a friend shared an articleabout pedophiles. Apparently Germany is investigating over 30,000 people in connection with child sex trafficking. I asked myself… why share this story? This isn’t an isolated incident of pedophile-article-sharing.

Caution, not fear
"Seat belts.” If you have kids old enough to buckle themselves in, you’ve probably said that more times than you can count. You know the consequences of not wearing seat belts can be horrific, so you tell them to buckle up every time you get in the car. kAmqFE J@F’C6 ?@E 27C2:5 H96? Know where you come from
Tell me this passage from Matthew 1 isn’t one of the most boring passages in the Bible: “... and Salathiel begat Zorobabel; And Zorobabel begat Abiud ...” When people read the book of Matthew, most skip or skim verses 1-18, or “the begats.” They seem boring. In reality, Matthew’s begats set the stage for everything that’s going to happen next. Many of these names are connected to other stories.

How to decide
When I was a child, my dad prayed over a coin, and then flipped it to decide if our family should keep going to a certain church. It came up whatever side he chose for “Yes” surprisingly often. That’s the only time a coin flip for an answer has ever seemed to be that clear in my experience. I have long struggled with making decisions, especially godly decisions. It’s not that I don’t want to make the godly decision, I do, but which one it is isn’t always obvious.
Better than royalty
When we try to read through the Bible, most people’s eyes start to glaze over at Genesis 5. I think most people skim from Cain murdering Abel (Genesis 4) to Noah’s Ark (Genesis 6). But there is a massive, powerful truth hiding in the middle of all the “So-and-so begat so-and so, and lived for x amount of years and died.” To understand that truth, you need some context. In the ancient world, there was a list of kings.
God honors you
Everyone knows God loves them, or at least they should. References to John 3:16 are everywhere: “For God so loved the world ...” Sure, some of us are so prideful as to think we’re bad enough to get out from under God’s love, but Romans 8:38-39 says nothing can pull us apart from the love of God. Seriously.
How You Can Help the Churches that Are Helping Ferguson - OnFaith
Joe Costephens is the pastor of The Passage, a young church that has emerged as an organizer of community service in Ferguson, Missouri, during the unrest that has gripped the city since a white police officer shot and killed an unarmed black man on August 9. Last week, Costephens’ church organized cleanup crews and a flash food drive that donated 250 bags of groceries to another local effort.
Why Christianity and the Middle Class Are Both in Decline - OnFaith
The church is a bourgeois institution. And not just in our times — it’s always been this way. From the very beginning, Christian communities were composed of urban dwellers of the middle class. Saint Paul’s travels were focused on cities that had established synagogues and vibrant marketplaces. He engaged the intellectual establishment, praised those who patronized the early movement, and described his work in Rome as a fundraising trip for the poor church in Jerusalem (Romans 15:22-29).
OnFaith Finds - What to Read Today - OnFaith
– In the nineteenth century, women were the leaders of Christian charity and volunteerism. A new study shows that today, young adult women are leading the way with charity again — only this time they’re unaffiliated with religion. (The Chronicle of Philanthropy) – Of the writing of books about Jesus’ wife there is no end.
Anti-Semitism in the Era of Selfies - OnFaith
Germany did almost everything right. It instructed its children. It built memorials and museums. It turned the former concentration camps into theme parks on the consequences of hate. It named streets after the chief plotter against Hitler, so many streets that von Stauffenberg is the most popular one in Germany (Beethoven is second).

6 Popular Christian Sayings that Are Not True
These sayings were widespread in the Christian circles I grew up in, and they defined my understanding of faith to a great extent. But it turns out that none of these sayings are true: Religion can be defined as “an organized collection of beliefs, cultural systems, and worldviews that relate humanity to the supernatural, and to spirituality.” Christianity fits that definition, of course.
