The Forgotten Midnight Ride of the Revolution
PoliticsOpinion🇺🇸 America 250 By David Sanchez •July 22, 2026•278 views https://www.americanhistorycentral.com/entries/caesar-rodney/ As we celebrate 250 years of the greatest country known to man, we reflect on the stories of brave men and women who made incredible sacrifices to make it possible. We talk about the Boston Tea Party, the “Shot Heard ‘Round the World,” and the crossing of the Delaware River.
Karim Lopez would be a big swing for the Mavericks
When I first profiled Karim Lopez back in October, I mentioned him as a polarizing international prospect worth keeping an eye on. Now, with rumors circulating that new Mavericks President Masai Ujiri could view Lopez as a prototypical Dallas target, it’s worth revisiting my thoughts on a prospect I have followed for almost three years. Lopez is a 19-year-old forward who measured in at 6’8, 221 pounds with a 6’11.5 wingspan at the NBA Draft Combine, paired with a 38-inch vertical.

The Dallas Maveriks should pass on Karim Lopz When I first profiled Karim Lopez back in October, I mentioned him as a polarizing international prospect worth keeping an eye on. Winners and Losers of Day 1 of the NBA Combine
Day one of the NBA Draft Combine is in the books, and the measuring tape doesn’t lie, but apparently, college sports information departments do. Seventy-three prospects were invited to Chicago to put their bodies under the microscope. By the end of the measurement session, a handful of guys walked out with their stock firmly on the rise, while others are quietly hoping teams don’t look too hard at the numbers. Here’s who won the day, and who didn’t.

Institutional factors influencing vaccine access in Canada: a scoping review
Background While existing literature has examined vaccine access primarily at individual and community levels in Canada, there remains limited synthesis and knowledge consolidation of how institutional factors shape vaccine access. Where institutional influences have been explored, prior reviews have been limited in scope to specific vaccine programs, populations, or single jurisdictions.
DevOps Playbook for the Agentic Era
Practices, Principles, and Strategic Direction Software delivery has entered a new phase. AI agents are no longer confined to autocomplete suggestions in the editor. They are opening pull requests, generating code across multiple files, proposing infrastructure changes, responding to issues with working implementations, and executing multi-step engineering tasks with minimal human intervention.
4 Draft Prospects with the Most to Prove in the East Region of March Madness Original
The East Bracket of the 2026 NCAA Tournament might be the most-watched by NBA scouts, not because of the names you already know, like Cam Boozer, Darrien Peterson, Mikel Brown Jr., and Braylon Mullins, but because of the names you might not: Donovan Dent, Jeremy Fears, Dominique Daniels, Zuby Ejiofor, and David Punch. If you’re a college basketball sicko, this is your bracket. These are the players who make you love college hoops.
Is the Local Ranch Disappearing?
No question beef is expensive, but it is not the ranchers who are making the profits. Meet packers and feed lots have always controlled the price of beef. In New Mexico, the family rancher plays a close game, with their supply meeting market demand to control their profit margins and they have the major expenses of feed and the vagaries of weather.
Drafting the Flagg Blueprint Original
Photo by Mike Lawrie/Getty Images Now that the Nico Harrison championship window experiment is over, it’s time to get serious about how the Dallas Mavericks can leverage their talent to bring in players and draft assets to build around their rookie generational talent, Cooper Flagg. Flagg is a high-flying two-way wing with superstar potential, and the best way to build around him is through the NBA Draft.
2026 Draft Prospect: Karim López Original
As the Mavericks wrap up their trip to Mexico City to play the Pistons on Día de los Muertos. This is a great opportunity to check in on one of the most polarizing prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft, Mexico’s own Karim López. López is an 18-year-old, 6’9 220-pound prospect playing for the New Zealand Breakers in the Australian National Basketball League (NBL). López is part of the Next Stars program in the NBL, a proven pathway for NBA prospects to develop on their way to the NBA Draft.
The Best Artificial Intelligence Funds
In recent years, Artificial Intelligence has gone from being a technological promise to becoming one of the main engines of global economic transformation. Looking ahead to 2026, the issue is no longer if AI will continue to grow, but how to position oneself intelligently along an increasingly complex supply chain: semiconductors, cloud, software, automation, data and infrastructure.
The Power of Data in OOH Outdoor Advertising Campaigns
The world of OOH outdoor advertising is undergoing a major transformation. Once considered slow-moving and operationally complex, the industry is now powered by real-time tools that are modernizing how media is planned, executed, and optimized. These advancements are not just making campaigns smarter—they’re completely reshaping the way operators and advertisers manage the entire lifecycle of OOH media.
Why Agencies Are Turning to Digital Platforms for Outdoor Advertising Management
In the modern advertising landscape, speed, transparency, and data-driven results are non-negotiable. While traditional outdoor advertising has long been prized for its impact and reach, it’s also been known for being slow-moving and fragmented—until now. Today, more and more agencies are shifting their outdoor media planning and buying to digital platforms. These platforms simplify the entire campaign lifecycle—from discovering ad spaces to booking and tracking performance—all in one interface.
Smarter Outdoor Advertising: Tools That Help Advertisers Plan, Book, and Measure
As advertising grows more data-driven and performance-focused, the demand for smarter media channels continues to rise. And while digital formats often steal the spotlight, outdoor advertising is rapidly catching up—thanks to technology that makes it easier than ever to plan, book, and measure impactful campaigns. Gone are the days of relying on manual bookings, guesswork, or limited reporting.
Plan Your Next OOH Campaign with Real-Time Audience Insights
Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising has always held a unique power: visibility at scale. But in an era dominated by digital precision and performance metrics, visibility alone is no longer enough. Advertisers now expect the same level of insight and control from their outdoor campaigns as they do from digital media. That’s where real-time audience insights come in—changing how we plan, target, and measure OOH campaigns.
Why Real-Time Data is the Future of OOH Advertising Management
The Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising industry is undergoing a digital transformation. Once dominated by static formats and long planning cycles, outdoor media is now entering a new era powered by real-time data and digital platforms. For advertisers and media owners across Europe and North America, this evolution isn’t just welcome—it’s essential.
Why Real CPM Matters for Modern Marketers in OOH Advertising
Out-of-Home advertising is no longer a black box. Marketers today aren’t just buying billboards—they’re buying measurable reach, targeted impact, and accountable performance. That’s why Real CPM (Cost Per Mille) is gaining traction. Unlike traditional CPM based on estimated impressions, Real CPM reflects actual audience exposure using verified data—bridging the gap between spend and outcome in physical advertising. For brands operating in a performance-driven world, this shift isn’t optional.

A Lesson in Practicality
During my recent module at Devslopes Web Academy, the task was to use any API to create a sorting system. Naturally, growing up in the 90s, I chose the Pokémon API. I thought it'd be fun to sort Pokémon and ambitiously decided to add a battle system as well. Excited to start, I dove straight into the battle system, ignoring the main objective. The idea was simple: create a "Rock Paper Scissors" type of battle using Grass, Fire, and Water Pokémon.
Apex Heroines Review: Not Exactly an Apex Predator
Reviewed on Nintendo Switch Fast-paced hack-and-slash action games are great when done right. Even if they’re a little mindless sometimes, they can still be a lot of fun when you just need to sit back, switch off your brain for a while, and mash away on some controller buttons. Apex Heroines is a solid dose of exactly that, though some design choices leave a bit to be desired and make for a game that’s just above average, but probably still worth it if you dig its brand of action.

Crypt Stalker Switch Review: NES-Like Demon Slaying
Reviewed on Nintendo Switch Developer Sinclair Strange gets it. Crypt Stalker is one of those games that looks and feels like something from the NES days. It has rich, retro visuals and sound. Mechanically, it performs like something from the late ‘80s or early ‘90s. And it’s tough as heck, but it doesn’t hate you — well, maybe a little. That’s not to say that the game feels old, though. It just feels classic.
A Class Act
Have you ever found yourself knee-deep in JavaScript code, trying to build a something that’s simple, only to realize your code looks like a tangled mess, making it hard to maintain or debug? We’ve all been there! But fret not, because JavaScript classes are like magical folders that can organize that messy jungle into a neat, tidy forest. Let’s dive into how using classes can transform that messy code into something much more manageable. For this example, let’s use the game Battleship.
The ECB meets this week. What can we expect?
This week's meeting of the European Central Bank is shaping up to be crucial for investors and markets. The market appears to be in agreement that the ECB will keep rates unchanged. Konstantin Veit, Portfolio Manager at PIMCO At its next meeting on Thursday, we expect the ECB to keep the deposit rate unchanged at 2% for the fourth consecutive time. This level is widely regarded as the midpoint of a neutral policy range in the euro area by the majority of Governing Council members.

Digital Marketing for Golf Clubs in 2024: An Essential Guide
Golf course management is entering a new era where technology will play a crucial role. There are many golf clubs that have not yet fully embraced Digital Marketing in this new context. Even in the age of Artificial Intelligence, most golf courses still don’t maintain their social media profiles or use advanced digital marketing methods to offer their customers exclusive discounts.
F1: former Ferrari engineer ready to showcase his great creativity for new team
While Ferrari is working to regain its greatness, McLaren is not far behind. The historic Woking-based team has put together a truly extravagant 2023 Formula One season. The first part of the racing campaign saw the MCL60 performing quite poorly, only to transform into a super competitive car. Andrea Stella, the new team principal of the British team, had certainly not hidden behind a finger during the presentation.
Sonic Superstars Review: A Top 10 Sonic the Hedgehog Game
Reviewed on Xbox Series S Sonic the Hedgehog is back! Um, again! Looks, we all know Sonic and pals aren’t going anywhere, and every time a new Sonic game gets released, there seems to be a mix of excitement and skepticism surrounding the series. Many franchises have their ups and downs, but I think we’ve gotten to a point where you probably know if you’re going to enjoy a new Sonic game or not.
Gunbrella Review: A Rad Dose of Action Mixed with Atmosphere
Reviewed on Nintendo Switch There’s something alluring about a hard-boiled hero blasting his way through a neo-noir world. Add to that a quirky little detail — like an umbrella that’s also a gun — and you’ve got an almost endearing action game that doesn’t sacrifice its darker tones for some good fun. That’s Gunbrella.
El Paso, Elsewhere Review: Like Max Payne, but Spooky
Reviewed on Xbox Series S The original Max Payne surprised players due to its combination of action-packed shooting gameplay, stylish slow-motion mechanics, and surprising story-driven design. It was unlike anything else in 2001, marrying cinematic style with rock solid gameplay. Now, El Paso, Elsewhere has attempted to do the same thing. While the game definitely pays homage to Remedy and Rockstar’s classic, it also forges a different path, delivering a unique story and world that are all its own.
Zecue: New Social Media App Relaunches After Changing Name Due to Trademark Opposition
The app to connect with the people you care about A New Era in Social Media Redefining Connections and Relationships Sharing my story has brought immense freedom in my life. I am excited for other people to experience what it's like to be seen and accepted for who you really are.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Review: The Buzz Is Back
Reviewed on Xbox Series S The Texas Chain Saw Massacre is one of the most influential horror movies of all time. It’s a film that paved the way for the slasher genre — along with Psycho — and it was a groundbreaking example of guerrilla-style independent filmmaking. It’s a cherished classic among countless horror fans, so it only makes sense that it deserves a quality video game adaptation.
TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge - Dimension Shellshock Review - More Mutant Mayhem
I love being a Turtles fan. Last year, we got the awesome Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge. Not only was it a really fun beat-‘em-up, but it was one of the best games of 2022. The gameplay was a nice throwback to old school arcade brawlers, and there was plenty of fan service crammed throughout the entire adventure. TMNT Splintered Fate Gameplay - New... If you’ve been looking for a reason to revisit Shredder’s Revenge, the Dimension Shellshock DLC has you covered.
Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons Review - A New Beginning
The rise of the old school beat-’em-ups has been something awesome to behold. From Streets of Rage 4 to River City Girls to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge and everything in between, there’s been no shortage of rad 2D action-arcade titles. Even newer franchises like Raging Justice and The TakeOver have allowed players to hit the mean streets and exact vigilante justice on all manner of ‘90s-inspired thugs.
Robolt Review: Robotic and Mundane
Reviewed on Nintendo Switch One look at Robolt and you might be reminded of those old school 2D platformers on MS-DOS. And you know what? It might as well have been released back in the early ‘90s, because it feels like a product of an older generation. Unfortunately, the reasons for that are not positive in the slightest. Robolt is mundane and monotonous. Its gameplay is robotic (no pun intended) and uninspired. It requires no real skill, and it lacks any and all entertainment value.
AEW: Fight Forever Review - Up-and-Coming Contender
Reviewed on Xbox Series X|S All Elite Wrestling has often been considered an alternative to WWE. The company, founded in 2019, provided something fresh and different from what WWE was doing. It gave professional wrestling fans something else to look forward to and enjoy. And for those fans who had become disenfranchised with WWE, AEW was the perfect alternative option.
Annalynn Review: Bite-Sized Arcade-Like Fun
Reviewed on Nintendo Switch Annalynn is one of those games that knows exactly what it is. It’s inspired by a few cherished classics including Pac-Man, Mario Bros., and Donkey Kong. Rather than just being a Pac-Man-like or Donkey Kong-like, though, it instead takes its influences and creates a fun, nuanced experience based on those inspirations. The end result is a fast, fun, and challenging arcade-platformer that’s easy to become enamored with.
Have a Nice Death Review: All About That Rogue Grind
Reviewed on Nintendo Switch At their core, roguelites are all about that sweet grind. You play, die, retry, and hope to get a bit further every time. The genre has evolved in some interesting ways over the past several years, with titles like Cult of the Lamb and ScourgeBringer among others making it so that you unlock persistent upgrades. This makes the grind feel worthwhile, and it gives you a better fighting chance, too. Have a Nice Death does things similarly, but its grind is a bit slower.
The 3DS and Wii U eShop Closure Was Disheartening and Surreal
The phrase “end of an era” could be considered an overused cliché, but there’s no denying that’s what the closure of the 3DS and Wii U eShops feels like. As of March 27, 2023, at 5:00 PM Pacific Time, both digital storefronts were officially taken offline, and it felt… a bit sad, to be quite honest. We’ve known about Nintendo’s intention to close down the eShops for both of its Switch predecessors, but the time just seemed to come too soon.
I Honored My Dog’s Memory in Red Dead Online
Trigger warning: This post contains details about the loss of a pet. Please read at your own discretion. On March 21, 2023, at about 10:45 in the morning, I had to say goodbye to my best friend. It was eight-and-a-half years ago that I met and adopted this silly little beagle. While I wasn’t sure of his age, he seemed to be about five years old.
Post Void Nintendo Switch Review: Arcade Roguelike Insanity
It’s easy to think of specific genres when the term “arcade” is mentioned. Beat-’em-ups are kind of a given. But there are also rhythm games, shooters, and racing games. That word, though — “arcade” — definitely has multiple meanings. In the case of Post Void, “arcade” means giving it everything you’ve got before it all comes crashing down on you and it’s over. This is also in line with roguelikes, which Post Void can also be described as, but its flavor is very much rooted in its arcade influences.
Wanted: Dead Review - Guns and Ramen
Reviewed on Xbox Series X|S Games like Wanted: Dead are made with a very specific audience in mind. This game probably isn’t going to appeal to the modern-day triple-A lovers, but that’s okay, because it’s not necessarily made with those folks in mind. Instead, a game like this is more so geared toward aficionados of actions from a bygone generation. Wanted: Dead is a nod to action titles that play it straightforward like Max Payne, Ninja Gaiden, and No More Heroes.
Fight’N Rage Review: Back to the ’90s
Fight’N Rage from SebaGamesDev and Blitworks has a beautiful case of split personality in the best ways. On the one hand, it thinks it’s a beat-’em-up from the ‘90s. On the other hand, it thinks it’s a Saturday morning cartoon from the ‘90s. It’s really win-win, and even though the game isn’t perfect, it’s still a blast for the most part.
The Problem with Apex Legends Team Deathmatch
There’s a lot of fun to be had with the new Team Deathmatch mode in Apex Legends. Well, sometimes. TDM was added to the game as part of Season 16, Revelry. So far, it’s been a mixed bag. Sometimes you’ll get in highly competitive games where everything is pretty evenly matched. Other times, though, it’s a mess, with lop-sided teams, disconnects, and other issues. Look, Team Deathmatch is a nice addition to Apex Legends — even at the expense of the underappreciated Arenas mode.
Is Skull Rogue Worth It?
The roguelike genre is one that’s full of charm despite — and probably because of — its punishing nature. There’s an old school appeal to these games that makes them enticing and addictive. Of course, they need to be done right. Titles like Dead Cells, Neon Abyss, and Rogue Legacy, just to name a few, truly have an excellent grasp of what makes roguelikes work so well.
