DeAnna Taylor

DeAnna Taylor is a criminal defense attorney turned travel writer, author, and Senior level editor. The Charlotte, NC native has touched all 7 continents, traveled to over 35 countries, and even lived and worked in South Korea. Her passion lies in educating others— especially Black travelers— on how to see the world, even on a budget.

She is currently a lifestyle writer (food, drink, and travel) for Ebony Magazine as well as a freelance writer and editor with bylines in publications such as Travel Noire, Travel + Leisure, Condé Nast Traveler, AFAR, Fodor’s Travel, Lonely Planet and more. In those roles she has worked closely with a broad network of DMOs, travel and hospitality brands, as well as travel influencers to bridge the gap between the travel world and the lack of diversity that many travelers of color often speak about.

In March 2018, she released her first E-book titled “Everything Within Me.” Her hobbies include traveling as often as she can, trying new foods and restaurants, and trying out new spas.
