Why did you become a journalist?
I started writing a newsletter at age 12 and poetry. My high school paper needed writers. I won all superior on stories and a full scholarship
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
Lead writer and editor. Columnist for opinion pieces.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
Featuring a Dr that was great at her research and we bumped into a patient she helped get remission.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Make sure you don’t bring a bias to the table when interviewing. It takes away from the natural journey of the conversation. Love your work!
When's the best time to pitch you?
Early morning to noon would be a preference but a good journalist always has an open inbox.

A guy who wanted to do a piece on his pet iguana he thought was his soulmate

Moscow mule both with alcohol and the Mocktail version

Walking my cat or playing Forsa with my teen or talking to my plants

National Geographic since age 9. I own stacks
