Why did you become a journalist?
1. There's a lack of care where it comes to working in a fair and balanced Black point of view. 2. There's power in the written word.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not write for the school paper. However, I scripted and hosted our high school homecoming queen pageant.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
While raising a seed round, a black Chicago PhD startup founder gets hammered by his family and a Silicon Valley VC.

It's never a bad time. Just be relevant.
What's the worst pitch you ever got?
The worst pitch might be from someone who wasn't direct enough. Way too cordial, perhaps.
What's your favorite drink?
Pineapple and Iced tea, half and half.
