Ngannou vs Ibeachi
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Dementia Pugulistica, . If the fight were held next week, who would win I read the title expecting an actual fight announcement. I figured Turki dropped the undercard for Fury's next fight. Your name or email address: Do you already have an account? No, create an account now. Yes, my password is: Stay logged in
The Michigan Assassin, the Illinois Thunderbolt, and the Crowd That Knew How to Watch a Fight When Men Were Men, and Tweets Were for Birds Let’s set the scene: July 5, 1909, Colma, California. The air is thick with anticipation, cigar smoke, and the kind of sweat that only comes from a crowd that’s actually present, not “engaged” from the comfort of their mother’s basement, furiously live-tweeting on “X” (which, in 1909, was just a letter, not a billionaire’s midlife crisis).
Loaded Gloves and Empty Pockets: How the Resto-Collins Scandal Mirrors Today’s Heavyweight Robbery of the Working Class- From the smoke filled den of your favourite ghost, druncle Bert. You want anger? You want righteous, volcanic, spit-flying outrage? Pull up a chair, because if the Luis Resto–Billy Collins Jr. debacle made you sick to your stomach, just take a look around at the world outside the ring today.
Sunday Services with the ghost of Bert Sugar. Tonights episode - Joe Frazier
Y'ALL MUSTA FORGOT! Listen up, kid—put down your phone, close that fantasy boxing forum, and wipe the Cheeto dust off your keyboard. Y’all musta forgot about Joe Frazier. Yeah, that’s right—Smokin’ Joe, the Philadelphia fireplug with a left hook meaner than your landlord on the first of the month. If you think you know greatness and you’re out here calling Frazier a cruiserweight, you’ve been hit in the head more times than a speed bag at Gleason’s Gym.
Gather 'round one and all while I tell the tale of the Livermore Larruper and the Ambling Alp. Picture it: June 14, 1934, and across America, families are huddled around their cathedral radios, the tubes glowing like fireflies in the night. The airwaves crackle with excitement as the voice of the announcer paints a picture so vivid you can almost smell the liniment and cigar smoke.
On This day June 13th 1908 - Tommy Burns vs Bill Squires
Tommy Burns Gives Bill Squires the Bum’s Rush in Paris—A Night of Fisticuffs, French Flair, and Flying Leather! Step right up, gents and dames, and let’s take a ringside seat in the Paris of 1908—a city where the only thing more fashionable than a silk cravat was a world championship bout. It’s June 13, the Neuilly Bowling Palace is packed tighter than a sardine tin, and the air is thick with anticipation, cigar smoke, and the faint whiff of baguettes. The world’s a different beast in 1908.
Gather ‘round, fight fans, and let me spin you a yarn as I don my fedora, light a stogie and pour myself a dram. The date: June 11, 1982. The place: Caesars Palace, Las Vegas—a neon oasis where the desert heat was matched only by the fever of expectation. The protagonists: Larry Holmes, the Easton Assassin, and Gerry Cooney, the Great White Hope, squaring off in a heavyweight fable that was as much about America as it was about boxing.
The Challenger Must Take The Title From The Champion
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Dementia Pugulistica, . 1. The "Champion’s Advantage" in Close Rounds While not an official rule, judges often operate on an unspoken ethos: The belt is earned, not given—close rounds may lean toward the champion because the challenger must prove dominance. Ring generalship favors experienced champions who control tempo, defense, and positioning, even in tight exchanges.
What is Parker doing wrong?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Dementia Pugulistica, . Parker is supposed to have quicker feet than Joyce and Zhang and yet he keeps getting cornered and trapped against the ropes by these glacial slow fighters. So what is he doing wrong? And please don’t say he has low ring iq, that doesn’t tell me anything. Log in with Facebook Log in with Twitter Your name or email address: Do you already have an account? No, create an account now. Is Activity the real key?
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Jacdaniel, . The big performances tonight came from Parker and AJ who have been heavily active this year. The worst performances from the likes of Wilder who hasn’t fought. And obviously similar for Fury recently. You really got to stay active Ask Floyd Mayweather about timing of fights. Wilder's team (of buttlicks, Malik Scott is a no heart bum) were on crack fighting Parker. It helps to stay sharp and in shape.
andy ruiz may have retired from boxing
Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Thunderstorm, . A movie career? Really? A documentary about waisting potentials and opportunities? The fact this little fat midget hasn't got involved in the Saudi ruckus shows his management have failed him terribly. Boxing is dead in the America & the UK for the next 12 months. Money has ran dry. If you aren't getting in on the Saudi action you might as well retire.
Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 17th
jmb1356 said: ↑ Fury can win, but he's going to have to get serious about boxing. Usyk is probably the most skilled fighter he's ever faced and the most skilled since Wlad. Click to expand... Fury understands that no matter what he does Usyk is going to be slick and tricky to land on especially in them first 4 rounds. The first hurdle for both is establishing the jab. If Fury can't do this and win early rounds off it then it's kamikaze 300 pounds of grabbing time, forget outboxing.
Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 17
If IT happend in February I choosing Usyk to win on points. No way that dude who cant be quicker in ring that almost 130 kg debut guy from MMA can win decision with someone like Usyk. I dont belive either that faul and clinching because You are bigger and heavier dude it enough to beat soo perfect boxer like Usyk. I dont belive that in this day, when Ukraine is in big trouble someone give decision to Usyk rival when fight will be close.

Why do Boxing Dad's talk tough?
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by the commentator, Nov 29, 2021 at 8:45 PM. Danny Garcia's Dad, Robert Garcia's Dad and now Teofimo Lopez's Dad.. All the same.. They talk tough like they could face any pro boxer themselves when in fact they're just living vicariously through their sons.. Sad to think about it. Furey, robert ungurean, Toney F*** U and 1 other person like this. Tyson Fury's Dad is an exception..
If Fury vs Wilder 3 actually goes ahead....
Boxing News 24 Forum Forums > Boxing > World Boxing Forum > Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by JDub, May 17, 2021 at 4:13 PM. ... would you pay for it on PPV? hell no.... opted out of PPVs a long time ago. I'll still watch it though. Rilz Ball don't lie! I would, but that is because I am a degenerate. Also, Wilder is always in entertaining fights so you would get your value. I didn't think I could dislike the guy any more prior to today, and then bam, I hate him more.

Anthony Joshua has issued a warning to oleksandr usyk that he may need to come with more power now
Everybody connected with Matchroom wants Usyk to stand and trade with Chisora, they want Usyk beat and that will be the best chance Chisora has, if Usyk just stands in front of him. They don't want or need Usyk forcing the WBO title shot, they have banged on and on about ALL THE BELTS, they don't want to drop one now.
Fury vs Wallin - A side vs B side bias?
Go to about 3:35 or so and look at Fury's eyebrow flopping around. I was leaning toward the fight being stopped based on the cut before I saw this replay. Now I think it should have been. I also feel that if Wallin had the same cut the fight would have been stopped.
What does Wilder need to do to beat Fury in their 3rd fight?
First off let me start by saying I think Fury will win the third fight. I don't know how, I suspect he'll play keep away like he did against Klitschko, but as Fury's second fight with Deontay demonstrates, you never can be sure what Fury will do, and the recent wins by Povetkin vs Whyte and the first Joshua vs Ruiz fights have shown, you can't write anyone off in the heavyweight division. We don't need comments like Wilder doesn't have a chance etc.... that's been beaten to death.
How do you judge a fight?
There is always disagreement between fans when a close fight goes to the cards. It makes me wonder how people score fights. Okay, so it is generally accepted that, barring a KO, the winner of a fight is determined using 4 criteria - clean punches, effective aggressiveness, defence and ring generalship. As we all know however, judging is subjective, not objective. How do you judge a fight and why. I'll start. First off, you don't play boxing, it's a fight. It's not like any other sport in my eyes.
Way to go Andy, just like Douglas Rahman and Sanders.
Andy did a great job in winning the fight just like Buster Douglas, Hasim Rahman and Corey Sanders did in the past. Now can he win the rematch and how? Can he remain relevant in the div or will he slip into obscurity never winning a meaningful fight again. I think AJ has the tools to beat Andy and for the most part took Andy lightly the first time around.
